Shameless Friend Promotion - Learn the SAFE way to handle a weapon and defend yourself.

So much is said in the media to bash guns and weapons and yes, some of it is true.  Guns kill people they say.  Well, technically, someone has to pull the trigger to do the killing and that is what this is all about.

I'll admit I've never been a big fan of guns.  I've been even less a fan of people who seem to derive their only sense of power by waving a gun in someones face.  There is no greater coward that someone who is "tough" because they have a gun.

The unfortunate part is that people like this exist and they really don't care about your, your family, or what hopes and dreams you might have for your life.  They just think that they have a gun and you don't, therefore they can do as they please and take what they want.  Mindless thugs.

It wasn't until earlier this year after reconnecting with a fellow Audi Club friend that I learned more about guns.  To be more specific, I learned more about how to safely handle and react in situations that most of us hope we'll never encounter.

I'm still not a huge fan of guns but I am a HUGE fan of getting trained by someone with a great deal of experience.  I'm not talking about your uncle who likes to go hunting here, I mean a licensed firearms instructor like my friend Rolf.

If you happen to live in or around the Twin Cities (MN) area and you or a loved one owns a firearm, I would highly recommend finding the time to attend one of the OneDefense firearms training courses.  Seriously.  The more educated gun owners we have the better this world will be.  Rolf at OneDefense is down to earth and passionate about teaching SAFE handling techniques and will help you to KNOW what to do if you are ever faced with a serious situation involving firearms.

Maybe even give someone you love the gift of attending one of the OneDefense courses.  It sounds oh-so-cliche but I'm convinced it really could make a difference between life in death in some situations.
